Parallel 2026 is the flagship technical meeting dedicated to parallel kinematic mechanisms (PKMs) and related closed-chain and hybrid architectures. The conference brings together researchers and practitioners across the world working on theory, design, modeling, control, manufacturing, and applications of parallel mechanisms in domains such as machining, medical and surgical robotics, haptics, aerospace, construction, and more.
Following the convension of the 2002 (Québec), 2008 (Montpellier), 2014 (Tianjin) and 2020 (Belfast) editions that are six years apart, the 2026 meeting in Abu Dhabi, UAE, will feature peer‑reviewed papers, invited keynotes, tutorials, workshops, industrial demos, a student forum, and special sessions on emerging topics (e.g., reconfigurable/multi‑mode mechanisms and cable‑driven parallel robots).
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers
- All submissions will be single‑blind and peer reviewed by at least two experts. Templates in Word will be provided on the conference website.
- Paper categories: (i) Full papers (6-8 pages); (ii) Short/industry/position papers (4–6 pages);
- Proceedings: an indexed proceedings volume is planned (venue TBA). Consistent with past editions, special‑issue invitations are anticipated (subject to negotiation) for leading journals in mechanisms and robotics.
- At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present in person unless explicitly approved for remote presentation.
